I have a secret to share. I've kept some sort of journal ever since I learned to write. Back then, I stapled sheets of paper together and made my very own journal. I was quite proud of my resourcefulness. Really...paper and colored pens and pencils have always been a personal obsession of mind. However, there's no real right way to journal, Its as unique as every personal individual Just last night, I was reading through some of my old prayer journals where I document my prayer times with the Lord. I keep a record of God's still small voice whispering His thoughts and instructions, scriptures I'm studying and answered prayers. Most importantly I can look back and see the faithfulness of God in the smallest details of my life. Journaling can be a powerful tool to assist in implementing the principle of remembrance written in Psalms 77:11... "I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old." Do you have a favorite way you remember God's faithfulness in your life? Please leave a comment below, I would love to hear from you.

Wow! I FINALLY did it! After taking a break from blogging ( I used to blog at The Journey of My Pen) I decided to take the plunge again. It's been a LONG road with quite a few bends and turns. Now more than ever, I see the need for women to be encouraged as moms, wives and women of God. Its a time to stop and reflect and make purposeful and intentional choices so we can live and embrace the life God truly wants us to experience! The internet can be a distracting venue but it can also be a place that's filled with encouragement, insight and instruction on the matters which are closest to your heart. On my Selah blog, I won't bore you with needless rhetoric, but try to provide rich content which will equip, motivate and inspire you to live intentionally and passionately pursue God! |
